First Full Trailer Arrives For ‘Lemony Snicket’s A Series Of Unfortunate Events’

Faux author Lemony Snicket (Patrick Warburton of “Seinfeld” fame) has a warning about the upcoming Netflix series based on his wildly popular book “An Unfortunate Series of Events”, telling viewers: “If you are interested in stories with happy endings, then you would be better off somewhere else.”

And while we’re warned to avert our eyes from the horrors that will unfold, viewers are champing at the bit to see the first official full trailer for the new series, which sees a trio of orphans placed in the custody of their creepy uncle, Count Olaf (played by Neil Patrick Harris), who isn’t as concerned with the kids’ well-being as he is with figuring out a way to steal their inheritance.

Along with Harris and Warburton, the anticipated new series —  created by Daniel Handler (author of the Lemony Snicket book series) and executive produced by Handler and Barry Sonnenfeld (“Pushing Daisies”, “Men in Black”, “The Addams Family” and many more) — also stars Malina Weissman as Violet Baudelaire, with Louis Hynes and Presley Smith as, respectively, her siblings Klaus and Sunny, along with Joan Cusack (Justice Strauss), Alfre Woodard (Aunt Josephine), Catherine O’Hara (Dr. Orwell), K. Todd Freeman (Mr. Poe), Aasif Maandvi (Uncle Monty), Don Johnson (Sir) and other stars.

“Lemony Snicket’s An Unfortunate Series of Events” will debut on Jan. 13, 2017.
