Best known for starring in TV’s first bisexual dating show, Tila Tequila is about to become even better known as “that former reality TV star who got banned by Twitter for posting a pic of herself delivering a Nazi salute.”
The former star of “A Shot At Love With Tila Tequila” is now banned from the social media app after she posted a photo of herself and others at an alt-right event in which the smiling participants happily raise their arms in a Hitler-style Nazi salute. She captioned the photo: “Sieg Heil.”
Although her account has been suspended and the tweet deleted, the offending photo can still be seen:
According to Yahoo! News, the event was held at a Washington, D.C., restaurant, with Tequila among the attendees on hand to hear a speech by white nationalist Richard Spencer.
The restaurant that hosted the soiree issued an apology, claiming they were unaware of the nature of the event.
“This was a last minute booking made Friday afternoon, and the reservation was made under a different name, therefore we were not aware that NPI was dining with us or what the group represents,” Maggianos Little Italy restaurant said in the statement. “After the event, an attendee sent a tweet in which she made a ‘Sieg Heil salute’ in support of Hitler and white supremacy. This expression of support of Hitler is extremely offensive to us, as our restaurant is home to Teammates and Guests of every race, religion and cultural background.”
