Andy Cohen Reveals Skin Cancer Diagnosis On ‘Live With Kelly’

Andy Cohen opens up about a recent health issue on Friday’s “Live With Kelly”, revealing to the morning show audience that he once had a skin cancer scare.

The “Superficial” author kicks off his co-hosting gig by thanking Kelly Ripa for urging him to see a doctor about a black “dot” on his lower lip.

Cohen’s doctor eventually diagnosed the unusual mark as melanoma. The self-proclaimed “tanorexic” had the “chunk removed” from his lip and it has since “[healed] very well.”

“I never thought that kind of thing would ever happen to me and it will change my relationship to the sun,” Cohen tells Ripa. “I’m just really grateful that you did that.”

The “Watch What Happens Live” host joins a slew of celebrities, including Hugh Jackman, Khloe Kardashian and Anderson Cooper, who have urged their fans to be safe while exposed to the sun.
