It was just two months ago that Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber announced they were ending their 11-year relationship, and in a new interview with The Daily Telegraph Australia the actress is breaking her silence about the couple’s split.
“I feel I’m in a good place in my life and I want to make sure my kids are healthy, my kids are happy and things are going to go well. Those are my hopes for me and for all of us,” Watts says.
“I feel, whether you’re famous or not, transitions are scary for anybody,” she adds. “I feel like change is always scary, but that’s only because transition for anyone is new and you wonder how things are going to go.”
Watts and Schreiber (who has yet to publicly comment on the breakup) are both in New York, where she’s filming the upcoming Netflix project “Gypsy” and he’s starring on Broadway in “Les Liaisons Dangereuses”.
Meanwhile, Watts shared her current state of mind in this recent Instagram post in which she poses with her two sons with Schreiber, writing: “Thankful and grateful.”
