A Norwegian newspaper is reporting that the body of legendary radio DJ Casey Kasem will be buried in Oslo.
This report on Kasem’s burial was confirmed by a private investigator that has been working for his daughter Kerri Kasem.
“He’s going to be buried in Norway,“; P.I. Logan Clarke told The Hollywood Reporter.
This is the latest development in the complicated saga surrounding Casey Kasem’s final days, as well as his final resting place. The location of Oslo is said to have been the choice of his widow Jean Kasem.
“We don’t know what [Jean Kasem’s] plans are,”; said Kerri Kasem’s spokesperson Danny Deraney. “We just know that she wants to keep Casey away from [his] family and friends and by the looks of it, hiding from law enforcement.”;
Mike Kasem, brother of Kerri, also expressed befuddlement over the plans to bury his father in Norway.
“There is no connection my dad has with Norway,”; he said. “I don’t know if Jean has any ties to Oslo. She certainly has never mentioned it in the last 35 years. Check the exhumation laws there; sounds like a possibility that is the reason she will bury him there. My dad deserves to be buried where he specifically asked to be buried: Forest Lawn. Everyone keeps asking for motives as to why Jean acts how she acts. I don’t have an answer.”;
