Khloe Kardashian’s off-handed joke while promoting her line of denim landed her in hot water after she Snapchatted some videos from the L.A. factory where her Good American jeans are made.
In the Snapchats (which have been thoughtfully shared in a video, courtesy of TMZ), Kardashian takes fans along on a tour of the factory, at one point telling a worker, “Don’t f*** it up — all the pressure’s on you and my Good American clients.”
That foul-mouthed little joke, however, did not sit well in some quarters of the Twitterverse, with some folks coming out swinging and accusing the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star of running a sweatshop — including this tweet, which caught Kardashian’s attention:
Kardashian’s response was quick and definitive, writing, “Watch your mouth. All make salaries and all are employed in LA! Know your info before you chime in.” In a followup tweet, she adds: “It means a lot to me to fight to make my denim in the US and to be employing good wages to all of my hardworking employees!”
She had one final message “to all the haters,” offering a middle-finger salute:
