Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield has already gone where few humans have gone before, but his next mission won’t require a spacesuit — just four cameras and a live studio audience, now that his memoir is being adapted as a TV sitcom.
As reported by Deadline, the potential sitcom will be titled An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth, and is described as “a family comedy about an astronaut who is back from space and finds that re-entering domestic life might be the hardest mission he’s ever faced.”;
The series will be produced by Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker, who brought us $#*! My Dad Says and Surviving Jack.
No word yet on who’ll be cast as the titular astronaut, but Hadfield himself is being brought in as a consultant.
As for what the show’s theme song should be, it’s kind of a no-brainer, wouldn’t you think?
