Prepare to see a very different side of Pee-Wee Herman when actor Paul Reubens heads to The Blacklist this fall in a season-two guest spot as a character about as far away from Pee-Wee as you can imagine.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Paul Reubens has signed on for a two-episode guest-starring arc in the James Spader-starring hit. Reubens will be playing a character called Mr. Vargas, described as “a dapper, finicky “muscle’ who handles delicate situations in the criminal underworld.”;

“We’re forgoing the bow tie and the bicycle, and it’s going to be something totally different, and it’s gonna be awesome,” executive producer Jon Bokenkamp told EW. “It can’t get strange enough for me. One of the most fun things is being able to write for actors who I’ve admired and think are interesting and try to play against expectations. I think this will be a fun one. I’d say he’s gonna shake things up a bit when he enters Red’s orbit.”;

Look for the Artist Formerly Known As Pee-Wee to appear in the season’s third episode.

Season two of The Blacklist premieres on Monday, Sept. 22 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Global.
