Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, 73, is nearing double digits when it comes to children.
The rock star’s representatives broke the news to the Associated Press, saying Jagger was on hand at a New York hospital for the birth. He and his 29-year-old girlfriend, ballerina Melanie Hamrick, welcomed a baby boy on Thursday, Dec. 8. According to a statement, both parents are “delighted” and the “mother and baby are doing well.”
The Rolling Stones lead man already has seven other children with four different women: Georgia, James, Jade, Elizabeth, Lucas, Karis and Gabriel – ranging in age from teenagers to their 40s. In fact, in 2014 Jagger became a great-grandfather when Jade’s daughter gave birth to a baby girl.
Jagger and Hamrick began dating after the musician’s partner of 13 years, fashion designer L’Wren Scott, committed suicide in 2014.
But he isn’t the only Rolling Stones member to have recently become a daddy again. Bandmate Ron Wood, 68, and his wife Sally welcomed twin girls this past May.
