Time stops for no one, and that includes Canadian country star Dean Brody, who cautions fans to make the most of the time they have in his brooding, visually arresting new video for his song, “Time”.

The latest single from Brody’s “Beautiful Freakshow” album, the video kicks off in an unconventional manner, with young people discussing the various ways they choose to waste their time, since there’s so much of it in front of them. However, Brody begs to differ.

“The trouble is, you think you have time / You think tomorrow’s always coming down the line,” he sings in the track. “Then one day you wake up and you find / The trouble is, you thought you had time.”

The video was filmed in Brody’s home province of B.C., and was directed by Stephano Barberis. “With ‘Time’, I didn’t want to simply act out the storyline in each verse,” Barberis tells the Taste of Country website. “When people listen to the song, they automatically relate to it in their own individual way, and I wanted the music video to reflect that.”
