“Office Christmas Party” star T.J. Miller was arrested for battery early Friday morning in Hollywood.

LAPD officials confirm to ET Canada that between 1 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. Friday morning actor T.J. Miller was arrested for battery: “There was an argument or disagreement that occurred and an arrest was made.”
According to police, the incident happened in the back of an Uber vehicle and the driver made a citizen’s arrest before police arrived, taking the actor into custody. There were no visible injuries on the driver and Miller was released from jail approximately four hours later at 5:30 a.m. without having to post bail.

The arrest occurred after Miller attended a GQ Men of the Year party on Thursday night. According to the Uber driver, Miller slapped him upside the head when the car arrived at his house.
Leading up to the alleged Uber assault, Miller had also appeared on Conan O’Brien, where he could be seen bleeding heavily from a wound on his left ear.
Miller’s new holiday movie “Office Christmas Party” hit movie theatres on Friday, Dec. 9.
