Let it never be said that Coldplay’s Chris Martin isn’t a romantic, which he proved during Friday night’s concert in Melbourne, Australia, by slamming the brakes on the show in order to help a lovestruck fan propose to his girlfriend onstage.
Martin was singing the band’s “A Sky Full of Stars” when he stopped mid-song and welcomed Lonardo Tanno onto the stage of Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium, reports the Daily Mail.
In video taken at the show, Tanno appears more than a little nervous as he white-knuckles the microphone while speaking to his about-to-be fiance, Felicia Lie.

“Thank you for giving me a chance,” he said, adding: ‘So in the midst of Coldplay, my new best friend Chris, and all the people here in Melbourne I just want to say I love you. Will you marry me?”
