John Cena made his “Saturday Night Live” hosting debut this week, and the WWE star proved his sense of humour is as big as his biceps in a series of hilarious sketches.

The evening’s first sketch spoofed CNN’s Jake Tapper (Beck Bennett) interviewing Trump spokesperson Kellyanne Conway (Kate McKinnon), who introduces the president-elect’s pick for head of the Drug Enforcement Agency: a former high school science teacher by the name of Walter White, with surprise guest Bryan Cranston resurrecting his meth-making “Breaking Bad” character to “make America cook again.”

In his monologue, Cena is challenged by an up-and-coming wrestler called “The Waddler” (Bobby Moynahan) and Leslie Jones — who knows nothing about wrestling, but still wants to take him on.

In the next sketch, Cena plays the host of MTV dating show “Hook a Hunk”, whose attraction to the show’s female contestant pretty much destroys the chances of the male contestants.

Cena was also front and centre in this sketch as a college football player who presents his science project: bananas nailed to a piece of plywood.

This week’s Weekend Update featured visits from German Chancellor Angela Merkel (Kate McKinnon) and Cathy Anne (a.k.a. the woman who’s always yelling outside Michael Che’s window) to address the problem of fake news — and she sends a shout-out to Donald Trump “because you know he’s watching.”

McKinnon and Aidy Bryant headlined the world’s most politically incorrect cop show, featuring female police officers Les Dykawitz and Chubbina Fatzarelli.

Former NBA great Charles Barkley (Kenan Thompson) hosts a sports-themed game show called “Where’d Your Money Go?”, quizzing professional athletes on their dumb financial decisions.

An office-worker named Joanne (Bryant) has a workplace mishap while trying to place the star on the Christmas tree, but her co-workers appear more concerned with the well-being of the tree than her safety.

What does the world look like through the eyes of Donald Trump? We found out in this sketch, with Cena (and his monster-sized hands) portraying the president-elect as he sees himself.

A bookstore that specializes in romance novels has some issues when it comes to its Fabio-lookalike stock boy (Cena).

A TV talent competition welcomes its next act: two guys and their performing owl, who’s making a comeback after a horrific accident (but probably shouldn’t have).

Finally, this send-up of “The Karate Kid” presents a more realistic ending to the film’s climactic fight scene.

Casey Affleck hosts the final “SNL” of 2016, joined by musical guest Chance the Rapper, on Saturday, Dec. 17, airing at 11:35 p.m. ET/PT on Global. You can also watch full episodes of “Saturday Night Live” online.
