Popular recording artist/tongue-waggling enthusiast Miley Cyrus chatted about pot, twerking and loads more during her appearance on the Australian current events program Sunday Night.
The pop provocateur was quotably candid in her chat with the Seven Network show. She revealed that she has delved into the treacherous world of reading comments online and it was as nasty of an experience as advertised.
“You know what hurts your brain? Googling yourself,”; shared Cyrus. “You know what hurts your brain? Instagram. You know what hurts your brain? Reading comments on Facebook. I have a 14-year-old sister and I go through her comments and people are calling her a slut and that’s a 14-year-old. So I think that’s hurting your brain.“
Cyrus says that marijuana is way less damaging to her brain than wading through a torrent of online abuse. The singer told Sunday Night that she was raised in a household with a fairly relaxed attitude towards pot.
“I put some picture of me smoking weed … on my Instagram because I was brought up in the way that we never thought marijuana was bad,“; explained the artist formerly associated with Hannah Montana.
The subject of twerking came up during the interview session and Miley didn’t shy away from the issue. The American star suggested that she’s the victim of a sexist cultural outlook and that Elvis Presley was championed for doing something similar while she’s being demonized.
“He was like sex. He was a symbol of sex but no one would have ever called Elvis a s*** because he wasn’t a girl. It’s that double standard and I think I’m doing something for the double standard,”; noted Miley. “Elvis, he wasn’t wearing the outfits I was wearing but he was coming out and he was doing like the OG twerking. Like, no one wants to admit that he was twerking, he was.”;
There was even a bit of talk about her ex Liam Hemsworth tossed into this jampacked interview as well.
“I love Liam, Liam loves me,“; shared the singer.
