Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is opening up about life behind the lens in Elle UK‘s January issue.
Posing on the cover of the magazine, the former Victoria’s Secret Angel, who has since launched her own popular lingerie line, talks about venturing off into the activewear market, working out with her actor fiance Jason Statham and dealing with past anxieties.
When it comes to her interest in workout clothes, she says, “I feel there are a lot of different things a woman’s body is expected to be, but my favourite way to see mine is when it’s being physical. That’s when I feel my sexiest and most powerful.”
While she may feel her sexiest at the gym, Huntington-Whiteley admits she never works out with her fiance. “Going to the gym is my time, I don’t want to be distracted and don’t want to be goofing around,” she says. “It’s a time when I feel I need to be focused on myself because it’s like a form of meditation.”
The “Mad Max: Fury Road” actress, whose new line Rosie for Autograph Active will be launching at Marks & Spencer in January 2017, adds, “I don’t like to be told what to do by my other half. If he’s like, ‘Do another squat,’ I’m like, ‘No! You get down and do another f**king squat.”
Huntington-Whiteley goes on to admit that it hasn’t always been easy, dealing with “terrible anxiety attacks” in the past. “It gives you a deeper understanding of yourself,” she says. “Each year, that understanding gives me so much more. It’s true what they say: you get more confident, and grounded, and just weed out the bullsh*t.”
