As glowing review after glowing review roll in lauding “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”, a distinguished “Star Wars” fan and some deserving guests enjoyed a special VIP screening of the anticipated prequel — and he didn’t have to go to a galaxy far, far away for the advance screening.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau attended the special Ottawa screening with some friends from The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), and judging by photos from the event a great time was had by all.

“We were delighted to give an early look at ‘Rogue One’ to our Prime Minister and his special guests from CHEO,” said Greg Mason, VP, Marketing, Walt Disney Studios Canada. “It’s always a privilege to be able to share the magic of ‘Star Wars’, and especially to have the opportunity to do so with such an inspiring audience, these families who demonstrate bravery and strength in the face of extraordinary circumstances. The ‘force’ was indeed with us tonight.”
And what did Trudeau think of the movie? According to the PM, “Rogue One” is “the best of the ‘Star Wars’ prequels.”
