Xavier Dolan’s drama “It’s Only The End Of The World” is advancing to the next round of judging in the race for the Foreign Language Film prize at the 89th Academy Awards.
Written, edited and directed by the Quebecois director, the drama has been generating Oscar buzz since premiering at the Cannes Film Festival back in May, where it took home the prestigious Grand Prix.
Based on the French play of the same name, the film stars heavyweights Marion Cotillard, Lea Seydoux, Vincent Cassel, Gaspard Ulliel and Nathalie Baye.
The shortlist of films now includes eight other pictures hailing from Denmark, Australia, Norway, Russia, Sweden, Germany, Iran and Switzerland. View the final group of nominees below:
