Robert Downey Jr. sits down with Rick Campanelli on tonight’s ET Canada. The actor, who’s in Toronto for TIFF 2014 — chats with Rick about his new legal drama The Judge, and his biggest role yet: being the expectant father of a baby girl.
“It’s always a little bit nerve-wracking,”; Robert says about the upcoming birth of his daughter. “Just because everything is so fragile for a little while. Everybody is used to having people around and dealing with all this stuff, so as long as you don’t take yourself too seriously, it’s all manageable.”;
And speaking of parents, The Judge — which opens this year’s Toronto International Film Festival — stars Robert as a lawyer who finds himself having to defend his estranged father. “This isn’t really a courtroom drama,”; the 49-year-old explains. “It’s about a family. It’s not such a downer. It’s got a lot of wit and a lot of reprieve in it.”;
