In the annals of cinematic history, few pairing have been more unexpected — and exciting — than Zac Efron and Robert De Niro. And yet here we are.
If negotiations go through, the unlikely duo will join forces to star in the raunchy road trip comedy, Dirty Grandpa. That’s according to The Hollywood Reporter, which describes the project this way: “A young man who is tricked into driving his grandfather (De Niro), a perverted former Army general who thinks his grandson is about to marry the wrong woman, to Florida for spring break.”
The film appears to be in good hands behind the camera as well, with Dan Mazer (co-creator of Borat, Bruno, and The Dictator) set to take on directing duties.
