It looks like Robbie may have surprised guests with a quirky and unusual wedding featuring pizza, Coco Pops, and some ink as a take-home present. In an Instagramstory published Monday, the “Suicide Squad” star tattoos “XIX” — the roman numeral for 19 — on her friends’ arms.
Hours after the Daily Telegraph reported that the actress married her boyfriend of three years, Tom Ackerley, in a secret wedding in Byron Bay, Australia, Robbie has taken to Instagram to confirm the news.
The 26-year-old beauty shared a look at her pear-shaped ring as she stuck out her hand and wedding finger for the camera’s lens. In the blurred-out background, Robbie is captured embracing her new husband while decked out in a loose-fitting cream-coloured frock. The photo, which judging by the reaction it garnered, seems to speak for itself. Robbie failed to include a witty caption for the loved-up post.
The “Suicide Squad” star seemingly tipped off the media when she arrived at Gold Coast airport wearing a Say “I Do” Down Under t-shirt — part of a new campaign promoting marriage equality for same-sex couples.
Ackerley’s brother gave savvy onlookers a look into the nuptials when he shared images on social media. Robbie’s brother Cameron, meanwhile, followed suit by sharing photos of his own.

Images from the nuptials indicate that they took place at the renowned wedding venue Harvest Newrybar in Byron Bay on Sunday. Another sneak peek at the wedding occurred when a friend of the star posted a photo of a beachside set-up to her Snapchat account.

Keeping things personal, Robbie wore the cream lace, off-the-shoulder dress that her mother, Sarie Kessler, wore to her own wedding about 30 years ago, according to Australia’s Courier-Mail.
“They decided to get married around Christmas so they could spend time with both their families afterwards, which they’ve never done before,” an insider shared with Woman’s Day magazine.
Robbie and Ackerley met while filming the 2013 World War II drama “Suite Francaise”. Rumours of a secret marriage began swirling while Robbie was filming “Suicide Squad” in Toronto after the couple was spotted wearing matching gold bands.
While the actress hasn’t yet shared photos of her wedding day, she shared a photo of her passionately kissing Ackerley a couple weeks ago.
