Superheroes reign supreme on the Internet Movie Database’s top 10 movies of 2016.

Unlike traditional year-end movie lists, IMDb’s ranking comes not from critical or box office success but from page views of the most-searched titles on the website.

IMDb’s top star of 2016, Margot Robbie helped rocket “Suicide Squad” to the top position as the standout star in the anti-hero movie that made over $745 million at the worldwide box office. While it was neither a critical nor box office success, Robbie’s sheer star power helped earn a place for her adventure film “The Legend Of Tarzan”, which ended up in the 10th spot on the list.

It’s no surprise that movies based on comics fared well on IMDb’s annual list with “Captain America: Civil War”, “Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice”, “Deadpool” and “X-Men: Apocalypse” all landing in the top 10. “Ghostbusters” proved to be the most popular comedy of the year on IMDb, whose page views were undoubtedly helped along by backlash surrounding the all-female reboot and Twitter trolls’ takedown of star Leslie Jones. Despite the controversy online, the comedy went on to gross over $230 million in 2016.

Also on the list are Chris Pratt and Denzel Washington’s “The Magnificent Seven” remake, Disney’s live-action take on “The Jungle Book” and the video game adaptation “Warcraft”.
