After spending much of her career covering red carpets, Jeanne Beker is now the one in the spotlight among Canada’s brightest talents.

The former “Fashion Television” host and international fashion icon will be inducted into Canada’s Walk Of Fame tonight at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Global, an honour that’s particularly special to her.

“I’ve had the great privilege of receiving many honours – you know, if you stick around long enough, you get them,” she quips to Rick Campanelli. “This one in particular hits a special kind of note. It really strikes a chord because it’s about glam, it’s about really resonating with people out there because you’ve been out there on some kind of major platform and you’ve managed to touch people.”

One of those people is “Fashion Police” co-host and Port Perry, ON native Brad Goreski, who travelled from Los Angeles to induct Beker into Canada’s Walk Of Fame.

“To be a kid in Port Perry, watching Jeanne and hanging on her every word for many years, that really inspired me to get into fashion,” he says. “To be here to honour her tonight is a huge privilege.”

Beker’s illustrious career also includes her early days as part of the ET family! Watch the video below to learn about how she became the first-ever Canadian correspondent for Entertainment Tonight in the 1980s.
