If a meeting with J.J. Abrams had gone differently, Michael Fassbender could have been one of the stars of the 2015 mega-hit “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”.

The “Assassin’s Creed” star made the revelation during an interview with the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, recalling that he and the director of “The Force Awakens” had a meeting about a potential role in the sci-fi sequel.

“We talked about a role. We had a conversation,” said Fassbender. “I’m pretty sure I was busy doing something else in the summer he was kickstarting that.”

When pressed as to whether he had been offered a role and turned it down, Fassbender played coy. “I didn’t necessarily. But I talked about it.”

Following the interview, fans began speculating about what role Fassbender may have been up for, with the most likely candidate appearing to be that of Darth Vader wannabe Kylo Ren, which ultimately went to “Girls” star Adam Driver.
