The Hunger Games and The Expendables 2  star Liam Hemsworth and his buzzworthy biceps grace the cover of the September issue and Fall Fashion Flip of Men’s Health.

The 22-year-old hunk opens up about his fiancee Miley Cyrus, his intense workout regime for The Hunger Games and an unexpected kick to the chest that he was “honoured”; to get.

Liam also dishes on his first dream, which was to be a pro surfer: “I surfed competitively from age 13 to 18 every day, before and after school. I wanted to surf for the rest of my life. It’s what all my friends did — I even had it as a subject in school for a number of years.”;  The Australian heartthrob is also an adrenaline junkie,  “The fear of dying?  That’s part of the fun of it.  The adrenaline you get from surfing big waves.  You get the worst wipe outs when you’re not expecting it.”;

Good thing the actor has experience with physical challenges.  His workouts for The Hunger Games were very strenuous: “My character was spending most of his life in a state of hunger, and I wanted to get a sense of that, physically and mentally.”;  The actor dropped a whopping 20 pounds from his 6-foot-3 frame for the film with the help of his trainer who is a former Navy SEAL, but says it wasn’t easy. “It was tough, because I’m an eater,”; he admits. “If I have one addiction in life, it’s probably food.”

Cut to training for The Expendables 2, where Liam reversed his routine and bulked up so he could measure up to co-stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jean-Claude Van Damme – all heavyweights in more ways than one.

Liam tells Men’s Health that his most cherished memory during the shoot came when Van Damme unexpectedly kicked him in the chest.  “He wasn’t supposed to kick me,”; he reveals. “It was a present from him, in a weird way. I was honoured to be kicked by him.”;

On his “Partying in the U.S.A.”; wife-to-be Miley? “[She’s] an extremely strong, intelligent, supportive person.”;
