Country superstar Jason Aldean is setting the charts ablaze at the moment. You can find the 37-year-old hitmaker at the top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart thanks to his latest smash “Burnin’ It Down”; and ET Canada was able to score an interview with this arena-packing star ahead of the release of his upcoming album Old Boots, New Dirt.
“There’s gonna be songs that are off the wall, a little different, and there’s gonna be things that have that rock edge too that’s gonna be right down… right down your throat, pretty much,“; shared Aldean on what fans can expect from his follow-up to 2012’s platinum triumph Night Train.
If you’re expecting Aldean to use this new full-length to address the scandal surrounding his divorce and his current relationship with American Idol alum Brittany Kerr, you’ll be setting yourself up for disappointment.
“My personal life is what it is and I’m extremely happy there,“; said the ACM Award-winning artist. “My professional life is going really well and to me the two don’t really intersect.“
The mega-selling country singer is currently in the thick of his Burn It Down tour. Aldean tells ET Canada that he wants his live show to be a place where fans can escape into a world of fun.
“Whatever’s been going on in your life that week, take it and throw it out the window a few hours and let us take over and have some fun,“; shared the star.
You can find Old Boots, New Dirt in stores on October 7.
