Burke claims that CBS intentionally ignored evidence, including police and district attorney statements, and falsely pointed the finger at Burke, who was only 9 at the time of his sister’s murder.

JoBenet was killed in her family home on December 25, 1996, in Boulder, Colorado. Later that morning JonBenet’s body was found in the basement. The murder remains unsolved.

JonBenet’s parents were suspects for the majority of the investigation but were never charged.

This is the second accusation filed by Burke since the early September broadcast on CBS. He claims the investigators involved in the show suggest that Burke killed JonBenet by hitting her in the head with a flashlight.

The lawsuit seeks $250 million in compensatory damages and $500 million in punitive damages. It names CBS Corp., Critical Content LLC and consultants Jim Clemente, Laura Richards, Jim Kolar, James Fitzgerald, Stanley Burke, Werner Spitz and Henry Lee.
