It’s been many years since we last saw the boorish Bundys on Married…With Children, but could a spinoff be coming our way?
That’s the news coming from The Hollywood Reporter, which is reporting that Sony Pictures Television (which produced the original series) is pitching a spinoff that would focus on the adult adventures of youngest Bundy sibling Bud (David Faustino would reprise the role in the spinoff).
According to THR, it’s unclear whether any of Faustino’s other cast-mates would be involved; Ed O’Neill (hapless shoe salesman Al) is currently a star on Modern Family, while Katey Sagal (Al’s beehived bride Peg) is playing biker mama Gemma Teller on the final season of Sons of Anarchy, and Christina Applegate (promiscuous sister Kelly) is currently involved in a completely different reboot: a new National Lampoon vacation flick, in which she’ll take a not-so-happy holiday as the wife of now-grown Rusty Griswold (The Hangover“s Ed Helms).
Discussions on the potential spinoff are reportedly underway, but no deal is yet in place.
