‘Star Wars’ Fans Honour Carrie Fisher With Lightsaber Vigils Across U.S.

“Star Wars” fans are continuing to find touching ways to honour Carrie Fisher.

Hundreds gathered to remember Fisher at a lightsaber vigil at Disneyland’s Downtown Disney in Anaheim, California, on Wednesday.

The “beautiful and emotional night’ paid homage to Fisher and her iconic character, Princess Leia.

And it didn’t take long before social media was flooded with photos from the Disneyland tribute.

Elsewhere around the country, the 60-year-old actress was the focus of a similar lightsaber ceremony at Alamo Drafthouse movie theaters in Austin, Texas.

Fisher died on Tuesday, days after going into cardiac arrest aboard a Los Angeles-bound flight from London. Her mother, Debbie Reynolds, died one day later from a stroke. She was 84.
