Run-D.M.C File A $50-Million Lawsuit Against Walmart

Iconic hip-hop group, Run-D.M.C, have filed a $50-million lawsuit against Wal-Mart and Amazon, according to Highsnobiety. The group is accusing the retail retailers of profiting off their brand without permission.

Darryl “DMC” McDaniels is listed as the plaintiff, the group says the mega-retailers of “advertising, selling, manufacturing, promoting and distributing multiple products” like hats, t-shirts, wallets, all with the iconic Run-D.M.C logo and text without the band’s permission.

The group is accusing both retailers of “diluting and harming” their brand.
