Self-Described Atheist Mark Zuckerberg Now Says Religion Is ‘Very Important’

Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg is no longer an atheist.

Zuckerberg has been open about his religious beliefs – or lack thereof – in the past, but now, in a Facebook post, he confirms his views have changed.  His religious beliefs were revealed in a Christmas and Hanukkah message he sent to his followers last week.

A commenter asked, “Aren’t you an atheist?”

Zuckerberg responded, writing, “No. I was raised Jewish and then I went through a period where I questioned things, but now I believe religion is very important.”
