A nasty thunderstorm couldn’t keep Canadian crooner Michael Bublé from delighting fans in Argentina during the South American leg of his To Be Loved tour.
Bublé braved the elements on Saturday night, performing while facing a steady helping of wind, rain and lightning. The star entertained the sold out Buenos Aires crowd for two hours. Bublé’s management advised against the singer taking the stage in light of the uncooperative weather, but the Juno Award- winner could not be talked out of playing Estadio GEBA.
“This is my country,“; Bublé told the audience. The singing sensation’s wife, Luisana Lopilato, is Argentinian and the pair were wed in Buenos Aires in 2011. (She was also in attendance for the evening’s super-soaked performance.)
It was clearly a night Bublé and those attending the concert will never forget.
“Tonight was one of the one of the biggest and most memorable nights I’ve had on a stage in my entire career,“; said Bublé of the performance. “I expected to walk out and see that the place was empty. I told them that it moved me, and that this was a night I would never forget. The audience and I made a statement together. That the show can and must go on. Their actions showed me a lot about who they really are. And I hope I showed them what my fans mean to me.”;
