Sony Pictures is set to reboot teen horror franchise “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” with Oculus director Mike Flanagan tapped to pen the script.
Flanagan confirmed the news via Twitter on Monday.
Happy to be writing a new “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”; (I’m NOT, however, directing or producing… Not sure where that came from)

Co-writing the script alongside Flanagan is Jeff Howard.
Based on the 1973 novel by Lois Duncan, the original 1997 American slasher movie starred Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe and Freddie Prinze Jr. as four friends being pursued by a killer who is in on the group’s cover-up of a deadly car accident.
