Despite being the first curvy model to land on the cover of British Vogue, Ashley Graham continues to combat body critique.
While speaking with ET Canada’s Natasha Gargiulo on-set on her new Addition Elle campaign, the 28-year-old brunette beauty opens up about challenging fashion industry standards and dealing with criticism, which was most recently seen when some high-end brands reportedly refused to dress Graham for her British Vogue cover.

“I’m never going to alter my body,” Graham, who earned her first life-like Barbie doll this year, tells Gargiulo: “I feel like there’s not a lot of role models that I had growing up that were doing that or that were even my size growing up, so I don’t want to alter my size for the younger generation.”
When it comes to dealing with body shamers, Graham says, “I just laugh and also remind them that I am the most spectacular model in the world because I can go from a size 6 to a 16 with the change of a hip. That’s the beauty of knowing your angles.”
