The BBC is under fire for a satirical sketch called “The Real Housewives of ISIS” that is causing controversy online and has already been labelled insensitive and has viewers up in arms.
The sketch is a trailer for a fake upcoming “Real Housewives” spin-off. In the sketch, actors satirize the “Real Housewives” franchise with wives of ISIS members going about daily routines. The sketch was written by writers Jolyon Rubinstein and Heydon Prowse and is part of “Revolting”, a new series on BBC Two in the UK.
