Leonardo DiCaprio is spending big for a good cause.
The “Before the Flood” star bid $125,000 on custom artwork by Ed Ruscha at the Haiti Rising gala charity auction for Sean Penn’s J/P HRO Haitian Relief Organization in Beverly Hills, California, on Saturday night.
Other stars in attendance at the gala included Lily Collins, Pamela Anderson, Jason Segel, Connie Britton, Diane Krueger, Jeffrey Tambor, Emile Hirsch, Edward Norton and Nick Jonas.
The event raised a record $37 million – including contributions from the Government of France, The Parker Foundation and World Bank, in addition to proceeds from the live auction – for the organization’s initiatives in Haiti.
