The red band trailer for Seth Rogen and James Franco’s “Let’s kill Kim Jong-un’ comedy The Interview is here, and it’s three minutes of raunchy NSFW hilarity. Celebrity cameos? Check. Gross-out humour? You know it. Over-the-top mayhem? Heck yes.
And yes, this is the film the North Korean government has officially derided, suggesting its release could lead an all-out war. But uh, all press is good press, right?
Although The Interview doesn’t hit theatres until Christmas Day, Seth and James nonetheless popped up (literally) on TV this past Friday. The occasion: Jimmy Fallon’s 40th birthday celebration on The Tonight Show. Much to Jimmy’s surprise (and yes, he genuinely didn’t see it coming), the dastardly duo popped out of a giant cake. Quite possibly naked. Comedy gold? You betcha.
To add a bit of class to the proceedings, music legend Stevie Wonder then emerged from behind a curtain to sing his hit, Happy Birthday. How’s that for a one-two-three punch?
