Shawn Mendes Serenades Newly Married Friends With Original Song

Shawn Mendes gave two of his friends the gift of a lifetime when it came time for them to tie the knot recently.

Footage from the couple’s wedding reception shows Mendes performing an original song called “Try My Best” as the newly married lovebirds took to the floor for what appears to be their first dance.

According to Billboard, the song’s lyrics were based on a love letter that the groom penned for his new wife. “Oh I try my best for you,” Mendes sang before the crowd of wedding attendees. “I promise to hold you close and be with you every day.”
