Priyanka Chopra is back in action after taking a scary fall on the set of “Quantico”.
TMZ reported the star had a hard fall while filming a stunt. The actress, 34, landed on her head, causing a concussion. She was taken to the emergency room, examined, and treated by doctors before being released a few hours later.
A representative said in a statement obtained by ET Canada that Chopra is right back to work following the incident: “She is still sore and stiff from the injuries sustained during her fall last week, she is getting stronger every day and was happy to return to work. She left this morning for L.A. to attend the People’s Choice Awards tonight, she is nominated for Favourite TV Actress, Drama.”
A representative told ET Canada “We can confirm that there was a minor incident on the NY set of Quantico last night and that it would be premature to comment further until we have all the information. Priyanka was examined by a doctor, released and is home resting comfortably.”
According to a Variety reporter, production on the show was not shut down following the accident.
Chopra was noticeably absent from a scheduled event to promote the show on Friday, but is expected to return to work on Monday.
On Sunday, she sent fans an update on Twitter: “Thank you for all your warm thoughts and well wishes,” she writes. “I will be OK, and am looking forward to getting back to work as soon as I can.”
