He might be remembered as a lovable character, but “Star Wars” fans will know “it’s not wise to upset a Wookiee”.
The warning came 40 years ago from Han Solo to R2-D2 in the midst of a heated game of holographic chess, where Solo let the droids in on a little secret: Wookiees are known to “pull people’s arms out of their sockets when they lose.”
And thanks to a deleted scene from “The Force Awakens”, fans finally get the confirmation they were waiting for.

The scene shows Rey’s unfortunate run-in with Unkar Plutt, played by Simon Pegg. Following their encounter on Jakku (also known as that time Rey steals the Millennium Falcon) Plutt is understandably angry with her, but enough to lose an arm?
Chewbacca steps in on Rey’s behalf and proves why you don’t upset a Wookiee.
The scene is more than just a nice tie-in to the aforementioned “Star Wars: A New Hope” scene, but also seems like a nod to the tradition of “Star Wars” characters losing an arm or a hand.
