It’s the Ben Affleck video that went viral: as Henry Cavill discusses poor reviews for “Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice”, a sad looking Affleck gazes downward while Simon & Garfunkel plays softly.

The original interview with Cavill, Affleck sits in contemplative silence while his co-star gives a thoughtful answer.  Add in a few editing tricks so the camera slowly zooms in on his face to “The Sound Of Silence” and the #SadAffleck meme was born, quickly becoming an online sensation.

Now, Affleck confirms that not only has he seen the Sad Affleck meme, he’s learned something from it.  When asked what working on “Batman V. Superman” taught him as an actor and director during an interview with BBC Radio 1, Affleck quickly fired back:

“It taught me not to do interviews with Henry Cavill where I don’t say anything and they can lay Simon and Garfunkel tracks over it, that’s one thing I learned,” he jokes.

All joking aside, Affleck tells the interviewer he leaned a “tonne” about big budget movie making, something he’ll put to use when he steps behind the camera to direct “The Batman”.
