Canadian fan favourite Jason Priestley has been announced as the official host of this year’s Canada’s Walk of Fame Tribute Show. The actor and director will emcee the star-studded, two-hour event airing on Friday, December 19 at 8p.m. ET/PT on Global.
“I’m honoured to be hosting this year’s Canada’s Walk of Fame Tribute Show and excited to pay tribute to these exceptional inductees,” the former Beverly Hills 90210 star tells ET Canada. “We have a lot to celebrate in this country, and a great show in store for Canadians – with a few tricks up our sleeves.”
The show celebrates top Canadians who have made a substantial contribution to Canadian culture, treats viewers to show-stopping performances and showcases the incredible talent this country has to offer. Presenters and performers will be announced in the coming weeks.

Some of the faces fans can expect to see at CWOF include Rachel McAdams, Ryan Reynolds, Jay Baruchel, The Weeknd and The Band! The 2014 Canada’s Walk of Fame Tribute Show is held at Toronto’s Sony Centre for the Performing Arts on Saturday, October 18.
