ET Canada“s sun soaked chat with red hot country hitmakers Lady Antebellum continues. When you have the chance to hang out with a mega-selling recording artist in the Dominican Republic, you kinda want to stretch that out just a bit.

In tonight’s instalment, our Sangita Patel grills the group on their liquor-soaked summer smash “Bartender”;.

“In the song, there’s a line that says “go until they cut me off’, which one of you is that?”; asks our intrepid reporter.

That question was met with all fingers being pointed straight at Charles Kelley, although his bandmate Hillary Scott admits that the entire band has been guilty of that offence.

“I think we’ve all had nights like that,”; offers Scott. “But if we were keeping a tally… this guy.”;

Speaking of “Bartender”;, who could forget the appearance of model/actress extraordinaire Kate Upton in the tune’s accompanying video? It turns out that someone in the band was buds with the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue fixture before the promo was even shot.

“Hillary and her had kind of become close friends,”; explains Kelley. “So when it came time to shoot this video we needed a little heat, so it wouldn’t be a bad time to pull out that little friend card.”;

Lady Antebellum revealed to ET Canada that they’re thrilled with the sound of their new album 747.

“(It’s) my most favourite batch of songs we’ve had on a record since Need You Now,”; proclaims Kelley. “Seeing the success of “Bartender’ shows us that fans were ready for a different sound from us.”;
