Jane Fonda and her husband Richard Perry are selling their $13 million Beverly Hills Trousdale Estate residence and have made a video touring the incredible house to go along with it. The home’s listing agents are Jade Mills & Valerie Fitzgerald of Coldwell Banker Previews International.

Fonda and Perry, who originally paid $7.3 million for the house, have only lived in the home for just five years, but Fonda admits there is a very deep, emotional connection to it. “Richard and I must have looked at more than 30 houses, and the day we pulled in through the gate… I took one look at the house and I knew; I just knew,” Fonda says of their first visit to the home.

For the legendary actress and activist, the house reminded her of the California she grew up with in the late ’30s and ’40s. “I didn’t want to seem too enthusiastic, but I knew this was a place where we could live very happily,” she reveals in the video.

The house is 7,100-square-feet and includes a window-filled kitchen, a men’s master bathroom and women’s master bathroom, a cave-like office, a media room, music studio, wet bar, gym and Fonda’s first ever walk-in closet. “This is the first time in my 79 years that I have had a closet that you could walk in and see everything that you have,” Fonda says. And we can’t forget the stunning glass elevator.

It wouldn’t be a Jane Fonda house without a good party, now would it? The actress says the home is great for hosting gatherings: “I had my 75th birthday here. There were about 150 people and we could have had another 50,” she reveals.

The house also comes with a solar-heated pool that includes a fire pit with seating and dining areas. “At night when we have parties, it looks so beautiful when it’s lit up. Occasionally, we also go swimming,” the 79-year-old actress reveals about her nights in with Perry.

The news is rather timely as on Tuesday afternoon, Perry and Fonda announced their split after eight years together. The famed music producer Perry and Fonda, the Oscar-winning actress and activist, met in 2009. The two will remain friends and plan to live separately, which is the apparent reason they’re selling the house.
