If you’re wondering why Taylor Swift dating rumours have been non-existent lately, it’s thanks to the pop singer’s shifted priorities.
“Dating or finding someone is the last thing on my mind,” she tells Vogue UK. “I can’t picture how it could work with the way my life is… I just don’t see how it could work, so I don¹t think about it, and I kind of run from it when it presents itself.”
Commanding attention with her piercing blue eyes on the latest issue of British Vogue, the cover girl opens the book on her dating life and doesn’t stop there — taking on teenage angst and her new sound as well, the former country star is opening up big time.
But back to Swift’s private life. With cameras following her every move, the 24-year-old couldn’t imagine any man wanting to put up with all of her famous baggage. “They think that they would want to get to know me, and maybe date me, but I don¹t think they want what comes with it,” Swift adds.
With her new album, 1989, dropping in a month (October 27 to be exact!), the future pop icon is feeling fearless and ready to officially part with her country roots. “This time around I’ve chosen the brave and bold way of going about things…I’ve completely changed the sound of everything I’ve done until now,” she explains. “So it’s interesting to not be afraid of that. You know, I don¹t want to hurt people’s feelings, I don¹t want to betray Nashville, whatever, but essentially it comes down to challenging yourself as an artist.”
