Eddie Vedder covered the John Lennon anthem “Imagine”; back in July during a concert in Portugal and now that rendition has been released to benefit Heartbeat.
“It seems like maybe there is a reason to play it,”; Spin reports Vedder saying during that concert. “If you’d like to join me or use your voices or hold a light there might be some people out there that need to know they are not alone.”;
The recording of that performance is now available for 99 cents on iTunes with proceeds going to an organization aimed at uniting Palestinian and Israeli youth musicians. The organization praised Vedder on Facebook for his work in supporting their peace-minded initiative.
