While celebrities ranging from Madonna to America Ferrera and many, many more took part in the Women’s March on Washington and numerous other marches throughout the world, one celeb who is no fan of the protests is Jon Voight.
In fact, the staunch Republican and ardent Trump supporter considers the whole notion of protesting the incoming president to be shameful.
“It’s very serious and very destructive, this marching against the government and against the president,” the “Ray Donovan” star said in an interview with TMZ.
“What was this march about? It was against the government and against this president trying to denigrate his office and his presidency. And that’s no good,” he added.
Voight took things one step further by singling out a couple of young celebrities, whom he accuses of no less a crime than treason.
“When you see the young people like Shia LaBeouf and Miley Cyrus, and they have a lot of followers, young people are looking at them, what are they teaching? They’re teaching treason,” Voight declares.
“They’re teaching going up against the government, not accepting the will of the people,” he said, adding, “It’s a very sad day, really, when I see this.”
