The Newsroom is coming back for a third and final season. And although one doesn’t typically think of this show as period piece (it ain’t Downton Abbey, after all), it’s pretty much exactly that. It’s now April 2013 (at least for part of the time), and anchor Will McAvoy (Jeff Daniels) is dealing with the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombing.
Gripping stuff to be sure, which makes sense given this is A) HBO, and B) Aaron Sorkin’s baby. So feast your eyes on the trailer and enjoy.
