UPDATE (10/15/2014 10:20 a.m.): Neil Young finally made his debut appearance on The Howard Stern Show and Shakey did not disappoint.
The Canadian music legend engaged in a lengthy chat with Howard Stern that touched a variety of topics of varying interest (Bono! Pono! Pot!) and stretched on for well over an hour. There was even a healthy portion of chat that featured Young talking about his strained relationship with David Crosby.
“Playing with Stills and Nash in that band was really great,”; said the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer. “I wish [Crosby] the best with his life. There’s love there. There’s just nothing else there. [A reunion] will never happen. Never happen, no, not in a million years… You have to think about things before you do them. If you make a mistake, you have to fix it right away. [A reunion] will never happen. You don’t have to worry about it. It’s easy to say “no.'”;
Is there a way the Young/Crosby rift could be repaired?
“It was fixable, but it didn’t get fixed,”; stated Young. “I did everything I could to make sure it got fixed…We were together for a long time. We did some good work. Why should we get together and celebrate how great we were? What difference does it make? It’s not for the audience. It’s not for money, either. When you play music, you have to come from a certain place to do it and everything has to be clear and you don’t want to disturb that. I like to keep the love there, and if the love isn’t there, you don’t want to do it.”;
On a non-Crosby note, Young’s interview did include a bit of chat focusing on the “Harvest Moon”; singer’s time sharing a Toronto apartment with Rick James.
“We did some wild things,”; Young explained. “It’s all very hazy to me now. I’m glad I made it through that stage. It got a little dicey. There were some drugs going on. I remember singing one song for about a day and a half.”;

They served as one of history’s most iconic folk acts. But it looks like Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young won’t be touring anytime soon. And by “anytime soon’ we actually mean “ever.’
Here’s the timeline: earlier this week at Philadelphia’s Academy of Music, Neil Young was asked when the musical quartet would perform a new set of shows. His response: “CSNY will never tour again, ever … but I love those guys.”;
Upsetting news to be sure, but nice to hear there’s still a lot of camaraderie between the lads in the band. Or so it seemed.
A couple of days later, founding member David Crosby took to Twitter with a rather acerbic response to Neil’s quote.
I hear Neil said “there will never be any more CSNY shows”; that’s like saying there are mountains in Tibet we know Neil ….we already knew

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsHe later replied to a follower’s message about Neil, saying, “He is very angry with me…”; So why the bad blood after four and a half decades of on-again off-again collaborations? No word yet. Mind you, if David’s Twitter feed is any indication, he doesn’t seem concerned about burning bridges. The 73-year-old has since re-tweeted several messages from fans taking potshots at Neil. See for yourself…
@thedavidcrosby No need for him to announce it, unless he’s looking for attention. CSN sounds much better without a Tiny Tim wannabe. — Al Boehmer (@alboehmer) October 10, 2014
