There are arguably few people in the moviemaking world tougher than Jackie Chan, but the legendary martial arts action star is a big softie on the inside, and demonstrated his emotional side when members of his original stunt team surprised him onstage during the “Rush Hour” star’s appearance on Chinese variety show “The Negotiator”.
During the appearance, a number of veteran members of the JC Stunt Team — which was founded more than 40 years ago — speak glowingly about their boss in a video presentation, discussing the kindness and generosity he’s shown them over their many years together.
While Chan appeared to get choked up while watching the video, that was nothing compared to what happened when the members of the JC Stunt Team surprised him by showing up in person, causing the emotional star to break down in tears, thanking the members of the team (launched in 1976) for their loyalty over the years.

Last year, Chan received an honourary Oscar to commemorate his 56 years in the movie business (he reportedly first began working in films at age seven), and at the time he praised his stunt team.
“For 40 years we’ve been through thick and thin, fractured bones, broken limbs,” Chan said, via Shanghaiist. “Sent to hospital at 5 or 6 in the morning. No one sees that at the theatre. Even as I receive the Academy Honorary Award, this Oscar is shared among us.”
