Actress Katherine LaNasa is about to make a big impression on the small screen in Satisfaction, playing a madam who falls hard for one of the studs in her stable of male escorts, and she tells ET Canada about her racy new character.
“What I love about playing her is that she is so crazy,” she explains, “which is only made more crazy by the fact that she doesn’t think anything she does is crazy.”
If her latest role seems off the wall, Katherine’s personal life is grounded by being a new mom to six-month-old Eloise, her daughter with husband Grant Show of Melrose Place fame.
Married in 2012, Katherine knew from the beginning of their relationship that Grant, currently starring in Lifetime’s Devious Maids, wanted a child. “I met this beautiful, smart, kind man who wanted a baby and now I have this whole other life,” she declares.”
As a first-time dad, Grant doesn’t hold back when it comes to discussing the joys of fatherhood: “It’s terrific! It’s difficult and rewarding and emotional. I am experiencing things I didn’t know existed before.”
Still, the couple admits that when mommy and daddy play amorous characters in sexy TV series, things can get a little weird. “There was one day when I was going to work to get married to someone else,” reveals Grant, “and she was going to have sex with someone else.”
Satisfaction premieres Sunday, Oct. 19 on Showcase.
